Recently, while on a trip to Idaho, I went to visit the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area (aka the Snake River) outside of Boise.
Wow, Rachel. You remind me of so many things - everyone has a story, everyone has experienced pain that we don't see at first glimpse, and curiosity maybe one of the best human traits of all. Thank you for sharing this. It will, hopefully, make me try to be more mindful in the moments of life that often get rushed through.
This was a lovely and touching post. I'm envious of being around all those falconers. I hope I would have had the wherewithall to look down and around at other dimensions so I would have taken in the whole environment. I can see how exciting it would be in the midst of the falconers searching for the 200 prairie falcons.
The last line about your son hit my heart. I don't know how thoughts of your son--any part of him-- can ever be off your mind. I hope being in those magnificent outdoor spaces brings back wonderful memories too.

Thanks, Priscilla. Some might say I have too much time on my hands to ruminate.
